Law Firm SEO Case Studies
We’re not afraid to show our results for our clients – we love to. Here are some law firm SEO case studies of clients we work with who invest in a consistent SEO effort.
Maritime Law Firm Case Study – Multiple Locations
This law firm had invested in a website and SEO program with a well known law firm marketing agency in 2024. By 2025 the client was frustrated with their agency because they had been telling them for over six months that their visibility had slipped across numerous search phrases and many of their locations. For this client we are tracking 63 strategic search phrases. In less than two months, this client moved from an AVERAGE position of 3, to an AVERAGE position of 1.
Highlights from this SEO case study:
- The client wasn’t performing terrible, but their SEO company wasn’t listening or adjusting.
- Tracking 63 search phrases is crazy. The fact that this firm is an average position of #1 is even more crazy.
- We did some link building, but a lot of the early success was cleaning up website mistakes from the prior agency (page structure, internal links, H1 & H2 Tags).
- This client’s organic traffic value (as estimated by Ahrefs) went from $500/mo to $6,500/mo.
- This client has taken over Google AI Overview results for relevant search phrases.
- The client reports that they are seeing a sharp increase in inquiries from Google and ChatGPT.
Bankruptcy Lawyer Case Study – Oklahoma
This law firm had invested in a well designed website prior to engaging with Everest Legal Marketing and was investing primarily in Google PPC ads and social media. The client knew they were missing market share by not being found organically and had Everest Legal Marketing take over website SEO responsibilities. For this client we are tracking 12 strategic search phrases. In less than one month, this client moved from the middle of page 4 of Google, to the middle of page 1 of Google as their average ranked position.
Why this result is not typical: It’s important to understand that there are various factors as to why this improvement happened so quickly. Not every circumstance is the same, but it’s critical to acknowledge that:
- The preexisting website was well designed, well structured and stable.
- Oklahoma is not as competitive as many major geographies.
- Bankruptcy law is not as competitive as some other practices.
- The URL had been published for over 5 years.
Personal Injury Lawyer Case Study – Southern California
This law firm is well known in Southern California, and the lead attorney has been practicing for over 40 years. However, they’d mostly relied on referrals and got sick of paying the referral fees to other law firms instead of intaking new cases themselves. The prior vendor claimed they were “doing SEO” for years, but in reality they were soaking up nearly $2,000/mo. for extremely unproductive efforts (unfortunately very common). This law firm did not rank for ANY competitive search phrases when we started in March 2023, and is now on page 1 of Google for nearly all of their tracked search phrases. Everest Legal Marketing did a full custom WordPress website, 20+ new pages of content, and implemented consistent on & off site blogging and authority building.
